Service Description

Following an initial hoof boot fitting, a recheck appointment can help ensure the boots continue to fit correctly as your horse begins using them in their normal routine. Hoof shape can change quickly after trimming or during the transition to barefoot, so it is sometimes helpful to review the fit once the boots have been used for a short period of time. During a recheck appointment I will: • Assess the fit of the boots while worn • Check for any signs of rubbing or movement • Discuss your horse’s workload and how the boots are being used • Adjust pads or fitting where appropriate • Provide further guidance to ensure safe and comfortable use Rechecks are commonly recommended 2–3 months after an initial fitting or following a trim if the hoof shape has changed.
