Hoof Boot Fitting

01

Much like the traditional use of a metal shoe, hoof boots provide additional protection to the horses hoof as well as providing further traction and shock absorption, particularly during exercise.

02

Unlike the traditional metal shoe, hoof boots allow the horses hoof to expand and contract during movement.

03

Further benefits of hoof boots include:

  • Aiding in the transition between metal shoes and barefoot

  • Providing support through rough terrain

  • Additional traction on 'slippy' ground

  • Medicinal purposes: those with navicular, laminitis or hoof abscesses may benefit from the additional support of a hoof boot (working in consultation with your vet and farrier).
